Sad to see the parting of this band, however, the continued project of former band memebers; the Sun and the Sea ismore than living up to it's pedigree. Keep making music!
Every Other Time: Be-sides from Every Other Time is available now at whatever price you'd like to set. This 6-track EP includes songs we recorded in Baltimore with Brian McTernan while recording Only Every Time, plus a couple demos from our home studio in Springfield, IL.
Each of these songs were close contenders for the album, and we're happy to share them with you! The download also includes album artwork and handwritten lyric sheets.
Please remember, whatever you choose to pay will go straight to us, the band, and will likely be used to repair our van/equipment and help us get back out on the road very soon.
Into the Blue was originally part of the Sea Legs EP we worked on for Jolby's art gallery opening of the same name. We recorded it with Brian McTernan, and used it as an iTunes bonus track for the release of Only Every Time.
This morning I could barely breathe
Some regret and some relief
I cast away to ease the pain
But it's all in vain
Now we're all afraid to go
Into the blue
I swore I'd find a place
Good enough for you
(This morning I could barely breathe)
Sail against the wind
(Some regret and some relief)
Until we find an end
(The more I move the less I find)
Tell the crew below
(She is on my mind)
We're never going home
Now we're all afraid to go
Into the blue
Soon you'll come to see
Why I had to leave
Now we're all afraid to go
Into the blue
I swore I'd find a place
Good enough for you
Over the years we found there's nothing left to claim
We knew that life on land would never be the same
Tell the crew below
We're never going home

I remember when Growing In was released as a surprise, I was incredibly excited. And the way Ace passed it off as something he just whipped up really quick made me excited to just have a little something extra. But this album quickly became my favorite album of the year, and may even be my favorite album out of all of Ace's projects. christovix
I can always find myself in every single aspect of The Sun and The Sea's work. Beautiful and dreamy instrumentals combined with comforting and profound lyrics are there for me on my highest and lowest days. Being able to relate to everything personally, these fellows will remain to be my favorite band as I continue to travel into the unknown hikaruonline
