Every Other Time: Be-sides from Every Other Time is available now at whatever price you'd like to set. This 6-track EP includes songs we recorded in Baltimore with Brian McTernan while recording Only Every Time, plus a couple demos from our home studio in Springfield, IL.
Each of these songs were close contenders for the album, and we're happy to share them with you! The download also includes album artwork and handwritten lyric sheets.
Please remember, whatever you choose to pay will go straight to us, the band, and will likely be used to repair our van/equipment and help us get back out on the road very soon.
Alchemy was another song that just didn't feel quite in place with Only Every Time. This was written and recorded around the same time as Your Belong to Me and Don't Die Digging.
lyrics
All along
Been picking up the pieces that I've
Broken
Now I stay asleep because
It's all wearing me out
A shift so small
And everything is crumbling
My heart
Petrified in front of me
It's all wearing me out
So help me
I don't know if I'm a man or a machine
Comon and help me
Because I just feel anything
I'm always breaking
I'm not the man I wanted to be
Time won't wait
My past is catching up with me
Realized
With sweet and simple alchemy
No more surprises
Always the same excuse
What more could I lose
Always the same excuse
Pushing the pulp right on through
Always the same excuse
It's not my place to choose
What more could I lose

I remember when Growing In was released as a surprise, I was incredibly excited. And the way Ace passed it off as something he just whipped up really quick made me excited to just have a little something extra. But this album quickly became my favorite album of the year, and may even be my favorite album out of all of Ace's projects. christovix
I can always find myself in every single aspect of The Sun and The Sea's work. Beautiful and dreamy instrumentals combined with comforting and profound lyrics are there for me on my highest and lowest days. Being able to relate to everything personally, these fellows will remain to be my favorite band as I continue to travel into the unknown hikaruonline
